Moreton
House was originally an old farm workers cottage known as "The
Back" and was part of the Picton Estate. It was allowed to become
derelict, before being bought and restored by a local potter who renamed
it "Cwm ebril” after his daughter April.
Our own downstairs living area was once a cow shed.
Subsequent owners
changed the name to Moreton House. We purchased the house in July 2003 and
have carried out an extensive refurbishment program to afford three
luxurious letting en-suite bedrooms.
Moreton
House is peacefully located in a quiet lane in its own grounds of six
acres with panoramic sea and country views and yet is conveniently
situated only one mile (about 20 minutes) stroll from the village centre,
harbour, restaurants and beautiful sandy beaches of Saundersfoot. Its
central location makes it an ideal base for a touring, walking or beach
holiday. Also we are WTB approved walking and cycling host and are
actually situated on Ride A and Ride B of the WTB Wales Cycle Breaks.
